Circumference Group is an investment firm that partners with experienced business leaders to invest in companies with strong growth potential. As the team expanded its use of AI, Circumference Group wanted to move beyond individual experimentation and create a more consistent, connected, and governed way for employees to use Claude across the firm.

Problem

Circumference Group was already using AI for recurring work such as branded presentations, Word documents, NDA reviews, and cohort analysis. The firm wanted a consistent, centrally managed approach that made useful workflows available across the team.

The firm wanted to:

• Establish a centrally managed Claude environment with shared administration and access controls
• Make its most useful Claude skills available across the team, rather than dependent on individual employees’ setups
• Improve and standardize those skills so employees could get more consistent outputs from recurring workflows
• Bring Microsoft 365, HubSpot, and SEC EDGAR research into Claude so employees could work across key information sources without constantly switching systems
• Put the right security, administration, and governance structure in place without slowing down the team

The SEC EDGAR connection presented an additional challenge. Unlike the organization-level Microsoft 365 and HubSpot connectors, the open-source SEC EDGAR MCP needed to be installed and configured locally for each user.

Solution

Fast Slow Motion helped Circumference Group turn its existing AI experimentation into a managed, team-wide Claude environment.

Fast Slow Motion configured Claude Team with administrator and member access. The deployment is in production, supporting Circumference Group’s day-to-day investment work, including SEC filings research and investment case-study presentations.

From there, we helped Circumference Group build a more consistent foundation for the AI workflows it had already begun creating:

• Standardized high-value workflows: We reviewed three customer-built skills supporting recurring work like NDA reviews, branded presentations, and cohort analysis, improved their structure and reliability, and deployed them as organizational skills for consistent team-wide use.
• Reduced duplicate and inconsistent logic: We consolidated overlapping NDA instructions, corrected missing resource references, aligned brand guidance, and moved large code blocks into reusable resources.
• Connected Claude to critical business information: We enabled Microsoft 365 and HubSpot at the organization level, giving employees access to internal documents and CRM data directly within Claude.
• Enabled SEC EDGAR research: We helped the team successfully install, connect, and validate a self-hosted open-source SEC EDGAR MCP, allowing employees to incorporate official public-company filings directly into their Claude-powered investment research workflows.
• Made local setup easier: Because the SEC EDGAR MCP required individual installation and user-specific configuration, we created a guided installer skill that walks users through setup, configuration, connection, and live-query verification while keeping the final local setup under the user’s control.

Measurable Outcomes

Circumference Group now uses its centrally managed Claude environment in production for day-to-day investment work, with measurable time savings in SEC filings research and active adoption across the team.

• Approximately 89% less time pulling SEC filings: Circumference Group reports that using Claude reduced the time required to pull SEC filings from approximately 90 minutes to just 10 minutes—an estimated reduction of 80 minutes, or approximately 89%. The firm now uses this workflow as part of its day-to-day investment research, supported by the SEC EDGAR connection implemented with Fast Slow Motion.
• Investment case-study presentations cut from two weeks to less than one day: Circumference Group reports that building a client-ready investment case-study deck previously took over 120 hours—roughly two weeks of detailed work—based on PowerPoint file statistics. Using the branded-presentation skill standardized with Fast Slow Motion, a comparable case study on a longer-term investment was completed in about 6 hours—less than one day, an estimated 20x efficiency gain.
• 8 weekly active members and 10 monthly active members: Circumference Group’s Claude Analytics shows 8 weekly active members and 10 monthly active members, along with 77 Cowork sessions over a 30-day period—demonstrating active, ongoing use of Claude across the firm.
• A shared foundation for ongoing investment work: Circumference Group now has a centrally managed Claude environment with shared skills and connected information sources supporting day-to-day investment research and document preparation.

Circumference Group now has a centrally managed Claude environment actively supporting day-to-day investment work. Employees can use shared AI workflows, access critical business and investment information in one place, and work within consistent security and administrative controls. With active team adoption and SEC filings research reduced from approximately 90 minutes to 10 minutes for the workflow evaluated by Circumference Group, the firm has moved beyond AI experimentation to practical, production use.
