Salesforce Foundations
Salesforce Foundations now offers ProSuite features for free to Enterprise Edition (EE) orgs and above, announced at Dreamforce. This includes enhancements for Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Pay Now (Commerce), and Marketing. Qualifying organizations can request activation by contacting their AE. The package also includes limited consumption credits for Data Cloud and Agentforce. This initiative provides a path for future upgrades, allowing ProSuite customers to scale beyond the free version when necessary.
Permissions
Admins can now easily identify where a user’s permissions are coming from using the “Access Granted From” feature in the User Access Summary. To use, simply navigate to a user’s profile, view their summary, and select the row-level action next to the permission labeled “Access Granted From.” This is especially useful when admins need clarity on how a specific permission is assigned, enhancing overall productivity by streamlining access management.
Admins can now view how access is granted to an object directly from the Object Manager using the Object Access Summary. This feature allows admins to see which permission sets, permission set groups, and profiles are granting access to an object, along with the level of access provided. To access this, navigate to Object Manager, select an object with CRUD permissions, and review the Object Access section. This functionality is designed to improve admin productivity by offering a clearer understanding of permission configurations at the object level.
The Enhanced User List View is now moving to Lightning and includes inline editing capabilities, making it easier for admins to manage and edit user information quickly. To enable this feature, navigate to Setup, then Users, and turn on the enhanced user list view under user management settings. This modernized view allows for inline edits and filtering, improving admin productivity by streamlining user management tasks.
Salesforce has introduced a new experience for managing public group membership directly from the Public Group Summary. Admins can now manage about 90% of public group memberships through this streamlined interface. To configure, navigate to Setup, then Public Groups, select the desired public group, and add or remove members as needed. This update improves admin productivity by simplifying the process of managing group memberships at scale.
Salesforce now introduces a description field for public groups and queues, allowing admins to add more context to these entities. To configure, simply create or edit a public group or queue and include a description in the new field. This feature is particularly helpful when admins need to clarify the purpose or usage of a group or queue, enhancing productivity by providing additional information at a glance.
Salesforce Flow
Salesforce’s new Flow Validation Experience automatically checks for errors and warnings when saving or activating a flow. The Errors and Warnings panel highlights issues and provides clear instructions on how to resolve them, along with links to directly access the property editors for problematic elements. This feature streamlines the flow-building process by making it easier for users to identify and fix issues in real-time, boosting both productivity and ease of use for flow builders.
Salesforce introduces Guardrails to provide real-time tips to admins building flows, ensuring they follow best practices. These tips surface when design choices or elements in the flow violate best practices, helping users build more efficient and scalable flows. For example, if an admin uses a Create Record element within a loop, a tip will appear advising against data manipulation in loops. Once the issue is resolved, the tip disappears. This feature improves flow efficiency, scalability, and performance by guiding admins towards optimal design practices.
The new Upsert Records and Collections functionality allows flow builders to dynamically create or update multiple records in one action, reducing the need for additional database calls. When using the Create Records element, admins can select the option to update existing records based on a field such as an ID or email. This is particularly useful for situations like updating a list of contacts with new information, where matching records will be updated and new records will be created if no match is found. This feature results in more efficient database operations and simplifies flow design.
With the new update, Flow now supports sending emails to up to 150 recipients at once. In Flow Builder, admins can use the “Send Email” element and enable the BCC and CC Recipient Address List fields to add multiple recipients using a comma-delimited list. This feature is especially useful when users need to notify large groups, like entire teams, directly from Flow, without relying on Apex. Available in Unlimited Edition, this update increases the email recipient limit from 5 to 150, allowing for more robust email actions within flows.
Salesforce now offers Primitive Output Support, allowing flow builders to transform collection data into primitive types like strings, numbers, or datetimes, without the need to use Records or Apex Defined Types. To configure, simply choose the appropriate data type for the target source and map the primitive value. This is useful for scenarios like counting the number of high-priority cases or turning a collection of records into a collection of IDs. The impact is a simpler flow-building process, as builders no longer need to rely on record data types for basic use cases.
Screen Flows
Salesforce now allows flow creators to enable end users to add, modify, or delete records from a list using the Repeater component. When a collection of records is provided as the data source, the Repeater generates instances at runtime for each record in the collection. Admins can map fields to child components in the Repeater, ensuring control over input, visibility, and validation rules. This feature increases efficiency by eliminating the need for custom components and keeps users on the same screen while they modify records, improving overall user experience.
Salesforce introduces Multi-Select Choice Lookup, allowing admins to give users the ability to select multiple options in a search-based field. Previously, if multiple selections were needed, Choice Lookup had to be replaced, but now admins can configure this option directly in the flow screen by setting “Let Users Select Multiple Options” to Yes. End users can select up to 25 options at runtime. This feature is ideal for use cases like selecting multiple Jira tickets for a sprint, increasing user efficiency by allowing multiple choices within a single search field.
Salesforce now allows more components to be disabled based on business logic, including Slider, Phone, Lookup, Action Button, and Dependent Picklist. Admins can configure these components by setting the ‘Disabled’ input to $GlobalConstant.True or $GlobalConstant.False or using a boolean formula resource to control it reactively. This feature helps enforce business rules, such as disabling fields until key information is provided, improving control over user inputs and preventing unauthorized edits. The impact is enhanced user management and stricter enforcement of business processes.
Automation Event-Triggered Flows empower customers to take action across Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, and more, driving personalized and contextually relevant touchpoints. Available to those with Marketing Cloud Growth Edition or above, this new Flow type offers out-of-the-box events such as form submissions, purchases, new email subscriptions, and SMS subscriptions. Businesses can engage customers at key moments, such as when an order is placed, creating rich, automated flows for seamless interactions. This innovative feature is essential for marketing efforts, enabling more impactful customer engagement through the Salesforce platform.
Field Service AI
With the new Post Work Summary feature in Einstein 1 Field Service Edition, mobile workers can leverage Copilot to quickly draft summaries of completed work in the field. This saves time and ensures consistency in the quality and legibility of documentation across workers. After a job, such as an installation, a mobile worker can use AI to create a summary of their work, which can then be reviewed and presented to the customer on the Service Report. This feature significantly boosts worker productivity, enhances extensibility, and drives innovation in field service operations.
Salesforce now supports 24/7 availability for contractors, enabling enhanced scheduling and optimization for external workforces in a global service schedule. Dispatchers and automation tools can schedule appointments seamlessly, facilitating continuous work for contractor companies. This is particularly useful for ensuring that contractors with 24/7 coverage can be assigned work throughout the day, requiring only a 1-minute gap in availability, though appointments cannot currently cross midnight. This feature improves dispatcher productivity and increases utilization of contractor resources.
Mobile Worker Productivity
Salesforce introduces the Search Component to help field workers quickly find the information they need while working offline. By using the search app with intuitive filtering, workers can locate the right record efficiently. This feature is particularly useful for data-driven scenarios, such as searching for products, assets, and work orders. The impact is increased productivity for field workers, as they can easily access relevant data without delays.
Location Triggered Platform Flows allow workflows to launch automatically when technicians arrive or leave a site, streamlining operations without requiring manual input. This functionality is especially useful for automating tasks like updating timesheets, notifying systems when a technician departs from a high-risk site, or calculating the actual time spent on-site. By integrating these workflows with technician movements, this feature improves service productivity, allowing for more efficient management of field operations and reducing the need for manual workflow triggers.
Salesforce introduces Data Capture, an offline data entry solution with guided, dynamic, and traceable forms for mobile workers. This feature allows mobile-friendly LWCs to be used for both simple data updates and complex forms, ensuring seamless functionality even without connectivity. It’s especially helpful for workers who need to fill out work forms while offline, with intelligent, conditional behavior and fluid navigation. The dynamic form content changes smoothly to guide users through the process. This feature enhances the mobile user experience, reduces data entry errors, and decreases the time needed to complete tasks.
Field workers can now collect payments directly in the field using Tap to Pay with NFC. This feature leverages PayNow and Tap to Pay capabilities within LWC, allowing for secure and seamless transactions. It’s particularly useful for unplanned upgrades or additional work that requires immediate payment, ensuring companies can complete more work without delay. The impact is increased productivity and business growth by enabling efficient payment collection on-site, streamlining the entire process.
Salesforce Scheduler Enhancements
Capacity Based Scheduling allows service resources to control the number of service appointments they can handle at both the shift and work type levels. This feature helps manage service territory capacity by visualizing and planning workloads. For example, bankers at a branch can declare their capacity, which is then displayed for branch managers to optimize scheduling. The impact is improved transparency and efficiency in resource allocation.
Sales Cloud
Account-Based Selling with Account Plans centralizes strategic account planning, helping teams win, retain, and grow business more efficiently. Admins can enable Account Plans with default settings or customize them using the Object Manager and Lightning App Builder. Account Managers can create plans directly from the Account page, collaborate on customer needs, conduct SWOT analysis, and set measurable objectives. This tool boosts sales efficiency and strengthens customer relationships by streamlining and unifying the account planning process.
Tasks and Events are now supported entities in the User Interface API, allowing for more customization in seller workflows. With this update, admins can create custom Screen Flows and Lightning Web Components to interact with these objects, improving the seller experience. For example, tasks can now be integrated as part of a series of steps in a Screen Flow, streamlining processes. This feature enhances developer productivity and improves the overall seller experience by offering more flexible and tailored workflows.
Prospecting Center
The Prospecting Center helps reps find new customers by unifying AI, data, and CRM signals into one platform. Reps can now streamline their prospecting process by viewing harmonized buying signals from both first- and third-party sources, which can be shared across Marketing (UMA) and Sales for better collaboration. During prospecting, reps will see top prospects prioritized by Fit, Engagement, and Intent Scores, allowing them to tailor their outreach effectively. This feature increases sales rep productivity and helps maintain a healthy sales pipeline by optimizing the prospecting process.
The Prospecting Center now unifies leads and contacts into a single view, reducing the need for reps to switch between multiple tabs during prospecting. This consolidated view makes it easier to manage prospecting activities and improves efficiency by showing leads and contacts related to an account in one place. Admins need to enable Lead-to-Account mapping for reps to use this feature. With this enhancement, reps can quickly view engagement scores and perform outreach more effectively, leading to increased sales rep productivity.
Service Cloud Digital Engagement
The shift to Enhanced Messaging Channels replaces Standard Channels, ensuring reliability and access to advanced features. Admins configuring messaging channels will now only see Enhanced Channels available, streamlining the transition. For example, a LATAM retail admin enabling WhatsApp will be prompted to use the enhanced option. This change requires all new customers and those relying on Standard Messaging to adopt the updated channels for future use.
Agents can now access messaging history when initiating contact with users, with expanded interaction options like emoji, quick text, and file attachments. This enhancement is part of the new Send Message composer in the Service Console, making it easier for agents to manage customer engagement. By offering seamless access to past conversations, agents can respond more effectively and provide a personalized customer experience, strengthening relationships and improving satisfaction.
Salesforce now offers the Messaging Session Metrics object in the Service Console to track KPIs like response times and message counts. With six new metrics, agents and admins can gain deeper insights into messaging activity. Custom report types can be created with Messaging Session as the primary object to monitor agent and user response times, improving issue tracking and overall service efficiency.
Unified Messaging now enhances customer experience by allowing marketing and service interactions to occur through one WhatsApp number, eliminating the need for separate numbers. Configure and manage this in the WhatsApp setup under Unified Messaging. Agents gain better context, and customers receive seamless continuity in their interactions. Previously, two phone numbers were required for marketing and service, but now a single number can handle both, improving agent efficiency and overall customer experience.
Agents can now seamlessly move emails between cases, making it easier to manage customer responses. Often, customers reply to old case emails when a new issue arises, leading to confusion. With this update, agents can select an email to be moved to a different case, ensuring the proper threading of future emails. This feature is configured in the Email-to-Case settings under “Let Agents Move Emails.” Once an email is moved, further responses will be linked to the correct case, reducing administrative errors and improving customer support efficiency.
Admins can now easily delete messaging users and their conversations without needing support, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. This feature simplifies the process by allowing admins to delete a user from the messaging user record and automatically closing any active conversations after a short waiting period. It applies to Enhanced Messaging channels and platforms like In-App and Web. This streamlines PII removal, reduces administrative overhead, and enhances data compliance processes within Salesforce.
Experience Cloud
Website creators can now easily build and style navigation menus for desktop and mobile sites without coding. This component, available in the LWR BYO and LWR Microsite templates, allows users to drag and drop the ‘Navigation Menu’ directly into the canvas. In Experience Builder, creators can toggle between desktop and mobile views to adjust settings for each form factor. This no-code solution enables faster, developer-free multi-page website creation and customization, making it easier to match design preferences and brand needs.
Website creators can now easily customize multiple button types and see real-time previews, streamlining the design process. By opening the Theme panel in Experience Builder and navigating to the Buttons section, creators can efficiently adjust Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary buttons. This added flexibility enhances overall website design capabilities, making it easier to tailor buttons to specific needs.
Website creators can now use the existing File Upload Component to allow users to upload multiple files and attach them to records within LWR sites. By incorporating this component into custom code, developers can streamline file handling without building new upload functionality from scratch. This approach enhances productivity and simplifies file management across LWR sites.
Account Engagement (Pardot)
Marketers can now easily identify duplicate records using the Duplicate Prospects Report, helping to maintain a clean database. By navigating to this report, users can view prospects with more than one record tied to the same email address. For instance, if a marketer finds an email associated with 100 duplicate records, they can delete the excess and keep the most accurate entry, improving the efficiency of marketing efforts and ensuring data accuracy.
Marketing Cloud Growth
Marketers can now connect campaign engagement data to sales opportunities through Opportunity Influence, helping them understand how their efforts contribute to revenue. By enabling this org-wide setting in Marketing Setup, customers can track the impact of marketing touchpoints on opportunities, providing valuable insights into ROI. This readiness check feature ensures users have the context they need before turning it on. For example, marketers can assess how influential a campaign has been on both new and existing opportunities, allowing them to report on what’s working and what’s not—saving time and improving strategic decisions.
