Lists

List View Object Home Modernization

Salesforce is modernizing the List View Object Home by migrating it to Lightning Web Components, improving performance and scalability. This upgrade brings a seamless deployment to customer orgs, enhancing usability with faster page load times and a modernized architecture. Users can create and customize list views for themselves or their organization, leveraging actions, inline editing, filtering, sorting, and charts for a more tailored experience. With this transition, List View Object Home is set up for future enhancements, ensuring a more responsive and efficient way to manage records within Salesforce.

List View Multi Column Sort

Salesforce is enhancing list views with Multi-Column Sort, allowing users to personalize data organization by sorting up to five columns at once. A new sorting button in the list view header opens a modal where users can define multiple sorting criteria, adjust sort order, and clear selections as needed. Sorting preferences persist until changed or removed, ensuring a customized experience across sessions. This feature is particularly useful for managing large datasets, such as sorting cases by priority and creation date or opportunities by account, stage, and amount. The result is a more intuitive and productive workflow tailored to each user’s needs.

Related List Multi Column Sort

Salesforce is extending Multi-Column Sort capabilities to related lists, allowing users to sort up to five columns for a more intuitive and actionable view of their data. A new sorting button in the related list header on the ‘View All’ page enables users to define multiple sorting criteria, adjust the order, and clear selections. Sorting preferences persist across sessions, ensuring consistency in both ‘View All’ and record home views. This enhancement makes it easier to manage large datasets, such as sorting cases by priority and creation date or opportunities by owner, stage, and amount—improving personalization and productivity.

Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)

SLDS 2

Salesforce introduces SLDS 2, the next-generation Salesforce Lightning Design System, delivering a modernized UI with greater customization and accessibility. Designed to help organizations tailor their Salesforce experience to their brand and evolving business needs, SLDS 2 enhances flexibility while maintaining backward compatibility with SLDS 1. Admins can enable SLDS 2 through Themes and Branding in Setup, allowing for an instant transformation without costly development. With support for features like dark mode and advanced branding options, SLDS 2 future-proofs orgs with an AI-ready, intuitive interface that boosts user productivity and engagement.

SLDS Themes and Branding

Salesforce is introducing SLDS 2 Themes and Branding, empowering organizations to create a more personalized and visually cohesive experience within their Salesforce environment. Admins can access Themes and Branding in Setup to design custom themes or apply the out-of-the-box Salesforce Cosmos theme. This enhancement allows businesses to align their workspace with their brand identity while benefiting from the improved usability of the modern SLDS 2 UI. By providing a familiar and cohesive interface, this update enhances user engagement, accessibility, and overall productivity—delivering a sleek, branded experience that feels uniquely tailored to each organization.

Other Notable Items

View All Fields

Managing broad data access just got easier with the View All Fields permission. This new object-level setting allows assigned users to access all fields and field data for a given object—automatically extending access to any newly created fields. Available across standard and custom objects that support field permissions, this update reduces the need for manual adjustments, streamlining administrative workflows. Organizations can now ensure key users have comprehensive visibility without added complexity, improving efficiency and control over data access.

View-Modify All Records

To improve clarity for admins and users, Salesforce has updated the naming of key object permissions. The View All permission is now labeled View All Records, while Modify All has been renamed Modify All Records to better reflect their functionality. These changes require no configuration and ensure a more intuitive understanding of access levels across standard and custom objects. By aligning permission names with their actual behavior, this update enhances usability and reduces confusion for system administrators managing user access.

Remove User and Custom Permissions in Permissionn Set Summaries

Making permission management more efficient, Salesforce now allows admins to remove user and custom permissions directly from a permission set’s summary view. Previously, this view was read-only, requiring additional steps to modify permissions. With this update, admins can save time by making edits in place, streamlining workflows, and reducing unnecessary clicks. This change introduces greater flexibility in managing permissions, with further enhancements planned for future releases to simplify administrative tasks even more.

Enhanced Role List View

Role management just got more intuitive with the Enhanced Role List View in Salesforce. This update introduces a streamlined interface where admins can view, sort, filter, and edit roles inline—all within a structured list format. Enabling this feature in User Management Settings provides a more efficient way to manage role-based access control, ensuring that users see only the data they need. By reducing friction in role assignments and modifications, this enhancement simplifies administrative workflows and improves data governance across the organization.

Salesforce Flow

Flow Enhancements

Generative Formulas for Flow

Writing Flow formulas just became easier with Generative Formulas for Flow, powered by AI. Admins no longer need to memorize tricky syntax or switch contexts to look up formula rules—now, Einstein AI assists in real-time. By selecting the sparkle button in the formula editor, users can enter natural-language prompts, and AI will generate the correct formula using the resource picker for references. This feature boosts automation builder productivity by simplifying formula creation, making it easier to calculate fields like due dates or apply logic without manual syntax struggles.

Access Flow Versions in New Tabs

Comparing different flow versions is now easier with Access Flow Versions in New Tabs. This enhancement allows users to open multiple versions of a flow in separate tabs directly from the Flow Builder. By selecting the version dropdown in the header, users can quickly navigate between iterations without losing context. This feature is especially useful for marketers and automation teams who need to assess the impact of iterative changes. With a streamlined comparison process, teams can make informed decisions faster, improving efficiency in flow management.

Send Email with Attachments

Attaching files to automated emails is now easier with Send Email with Attachments in Flow. The Send Email action now supports attachment IDs, allowing users to dynamically include files based on logic within their flows. Whether attaching invoices, reports, or documents selected in a Screen Flow, admins can now toggle the new Attachment ID property, input a list of ContentDocument IDs, and seamlessly include them in outgoing emails. This eliminates the need for custom development, saving time while streamlining automation for personalized email communications.

Set Limit for Get Records

To enhance performance and prevent SOQL limit issues, Set Limit for Get Records now allows users to define a maximum number of records returned in a Flow. Admins can configure this in Flow Builder by selecting the “all records, up to a specified limit” option when adding a Get Records element. A specific number, variable, or formula can be set to control how many records are retrieved, ensuring efficient data handling. This update improves Flow usability by reducing unnecessary data loads while keeping automation responsive and optimized.

Transform Join

Merging data collections just got easier with Transform Join, a new Flow feature that allows users to combine fields from two collections into a single dataset. This is especially useful when linking related records—such as orders and products—without the need for complex loops. Builders can select two source collections, define a join key, and map the necessary fields into a target collection. Currently supporting inner joins, this feature helps streamline data processing by ensuring only relevant records are included. With Transform Join, users can seamlessly merge external and CRM data for a more efficient automation experience.

Search For Nested Resources

Finding deeply nested resources is now more efficient with Search for Nested Resources, which enables users to search up to 10 layers deep in the new Resource Picker. Previously, locating deeply nested fields required manual navigation, making it difficult to retrieve specific data points quickly. Now, with nested search enhancements, all related resources are displayed directly in search results, ensuring critical fields—like “Close Date” from a Get Records lookup—are easily accessible. This update significantly improves usability, allowing users to work faster and with greater accuracy when selecting resources within flows.

Flow Management

Create New Flow Experience

Building flows is now faster and more intuitive with the Create New Flow Experience, available from the Automation App. This redesigned interface eliminates unnecessary clicks by allowing users to start a flow using Einstein recommendations, search, categories, or frequently used templates. No configuration is needed—just navigate to the Flows tab in the Salesforce Automation App or Marketing App and click New. Whether selecting a flow type from a guided path or searching for a frequently used template, this update streamlines automation creation, reducing friction and improving time-to-value for Flow adoption.

Mulesoft for Flow: Integration

Mulesoft for Flow-Integration

Integrating external systems into Flow is now seamless with MuleSoft for Flow: Integration, bringing no-code automation capabilities directly into the Automation App. Instead of relying on separate integration platforms, users can now leverage out-of-the-box connectors to link Salesforce with third-party apps. With access to 40+ pre-built connectors, admins can manage integrations from the Connections tab, create external system actions within Flow Builder, and trigger automations based on external events. This enhancement enables multi-system workflows with just a few clicks—no coding required—making automation more powerful and accessible.

Mulesoft for Flow-Integration

Keeping Salesforce in sync with external systems is now effortless with MuleSoft for Flow: External System Change – Triggered Flows. This new feature allows admins to trigger Salesforce Flows when changes occur in external systems, such as ERP or ticketing platforms. Instead of relying on manual updates, External System Change Triggered Flows ensure real-time data synchronization—whether updating a Salesforce account when a shipping address changes in NetSuite, or keeping Salesforce records aligned with updates from Jira. This enhancement streamlines multi-system automation, making Salesforce a more reliable Customer 360 system of record.

Screen Flows

Real-Time Validation for Screen Components

Users can now receive instant feedback on data entry with Real-Time Validation for Screen Components in Flow. Previously, validation only triggered when clicking Next, requiring users to fill out an entire screen before discovering errors. Now, validation expressions using reactive-supported formula functions execute immediately, allowing users to correct mistakes in real time. Admins simply need to update their Flow runtime API to 63.0 or higher and configure validation rules as usual. This enhancement improves the user experience by reducing frustration and ensuring cleaner data entry from the start.

Reactivate Screen Actions

Enhancing form interactivity, Reactive Screen Actions now allow Flow screens to dynamically update based on user input—without requiring a button press. This eliminates the need for custom Lightning Web Components (LWCs) or complex SOQL queries. Admins can configure auto-launched flows to fetch data in real time, enabling use cases like record-based dependent picklists, inline searches, and external data lookups. By mapping Flow inputs to component outputs, users experience smoother, faster data entry with instant feedback, improving accuracy and efficiency in Flow-based screens.

Built-In Progres Indicators

Tracking progress in Flows is now easier with Built-in Progress Indicators, eliminating the need for custom components. Starting in Spring ’25, progress indicators are automatically enabled for new flows, while existing flows can opt-in via Advanced Settings. Admins can configure placement and style, such as top of screen or footer, giving users clear visibility into their journey through a flow. This feature enhances usability by reducing confusion and ensuring a smoother, more intuitive experience, ultimately increasing efficiency and user satisfaction.

Enhanced Flow Stage Management

Managing Flow stages is now simpler with Enhanced Flow Stage Management, eliminating the need for manual Assignment elements to update stage variables. Instead of adding extra nodes, admins can now associate a screen directly with a stage in Screen Properties, and at runtime, the flow will automatically update $Flow.CurrentStage and $Flow.ActiveStages. This reduces complexity on the Flow canvas, making it easier to track stage progress—such as moving from Review Order to Payment Information—without additional configuration. With this update, flows become more efficient and easier to maintain.

Approvals

Automated Approval

Streamlining approval processes just got easier with Automated Approval, ensuring transactions are reviewed and authorized efficiently and accurately. This feature enables organizations to design and execute serial or parallel approval chains, maintain audit trails, and trigger real-time notifications—eliminating manual bottlenecks. Whether approving pricing, discounts, or order terms, teams can enforce policies while reducing approval delays. With this update, decision-making is faster, compliance is reinforced, and transaction accuracy improves, making approvals smoother than ever.

Sales Cloud

Sales Account Plans

Automated Onjectives in Acount Plans

Managing success metrics just got easier with Automated Objectives in Account Plans. Instead of manually tracking key metrics, admins can now define standardized calculations that link related records—such as Opportunities, Cases, Contacts, and Campaigns—directly to Objectives. As records update, the current value auto-adjusts, providing real-time insights. This creates a consistent framework for measuring success across strategic accounts, making it simpler for account managers and cross-functional teams to stay aligned. The result? Increased sales efficiency and a more streamlined approach to tracking performance.

Whitespace Map in Account Plans

Finding cross-sell and upsell opportunities just got easier with the Whitespace Map in Account Plans. This feature visualizes gaps in product adoption across an account hierarchy, helping sales teams craft expansion strategies that align with customer needs. The Whitespace component is built into the Account Plan layout by default, and its placement can be customized in Lightning App Builder. Sellers can filter data and add accounts from the hierarchy, making it easier to identify trends. With this data-driven approach, sales reps can pinpoint new revenue opportunities, leading to greater efficiency and smarter selling.

Strategic Tracker in Account Plans

Collaboration on Account Plans just got easier with the Strategic Tracker. This feature helps teams stay aligned by tracking execution progress on sales objectives. Admins can assign permissions and create Action Plan Templates, enabling sellers to create tasks and events within a Sales Action Plan. These plans can be linked to key objects like Accounts, Opportunities, and Leads, ensuring a structured approach to achieving revenue targets. With clear progress tracking, sales teams can work more effectively together, increasing accountability and collaboration.

Consumption Forecasting

Forecast Anything on Data Cloud-Consumption Forecasting

With Consumption Forecasting in Data Cloud, sales reps and managers can predict usage-based revenue with greater accuracy. Customers can integrate CRM and external data into Data Cloud and set up forecasts through an intuitive admin experience. Reps will be able to track actual and forecasted usage revenues, while managers can roll up team forecasts and make adjustments in real-time. This enhancement ensures more accurate predictions and better revenue planning.

Maps

Mileage Administration

With Mileage Administration in Salesforce Maps, sales reps can automatically track travel distances based on their logged activities, reducing manual entry and saving time. Admins can configure mileage tracking with timesheets set to weekly or monthly intervals, and even define reimbursement rules for specific travel. Reps will have an integrated timesheet experience in the Salesforce mobile app, enabling them to submit travel logs for manager approval. This enhancement boosts sales rep productivity by streamlining travel tracking.

Service Cloud

Omni Channel Creation

Reassign Action

With the new Reassign Action in Omni-Channel, agents can easily reassign non-real-time work items from their inbox to different routing targets, such as queues, skills, flows, or other agents. This eliminates manual reassignment efforts and ensures work is routed to the right destination without delays. Admins can enable the standard ‘Reassign’ button on non-real-time record pages, allowing work to be reassigned while retaining its original requested date/time for proper prioritization. This update simplifies Omni-Channel routing, improving SLA attainment and bridging the gap in skills-based routing.

Omni-Channel Sidebar Enhancements

With Omni-Channel Sidebar Enhancements, service reps can manage their work more efficiently by updating their status while the sidebar is condensed, quickly viewing updated work items by hovering over the work icon, and automatically sorting the inbox to show the most recent work at the top. These improvements streamline workload management for agents handling a large backlog, reducing time spent navigating tasks. By optimizing work visibility and organization, this update enhances handle times, boosts customer satisfaction, and improves overall employee experience.

Feedback Management

Partial Survey Responses

With Partial Survey Responses, businesses can capture valuable customer feedback even if a survey is left incomplete. Admins can enable autosave during survey creation, ensuring responses are retained when users navigate between screens. This allows service teams to analyze partial responses, uncover trends, and identify pain points that may contribute to survey abandonment. By preserving customer insights that would otherwise be lost, this enhancement improves the accuracy of feedback mechanisms and enables businesses to refine their products and services more effectively.

No admin changes are required—this enhancement streamlines communication, making it easier for customers to share and receive diverse file types, ultimately improving the messaging experience and adoption for businesses.

Custom Chat Bubble for Message

With Custom Chat Bubble for Message, businesses can fully customize the look and feel of their chat UI using a Lightweight Web Component (LWC) without needing a complete rebuild. This enhancement provides pixel-level control over chat bubbles, allowing companies to align the chat experience with their brand, including custom styles and hyperlinks. By enabling deeper customization, this update enhances adoption for Messaging for In-App and Web, making it easier for businesses like Credit Karma and Santander to tailor chat interactions to their specific needs.
