Insurance firms that specialize in workers compensation insurance should hold strong in the coming year. After experiencing a pandemic-induced shock in 2020, the workers comp industry has since been steadily gaining back ground, and is even expected to see growth in 2023.

Real estate investment firms

Coming off the real estate frenzy of the past couple of years, real estate investment firms should have cash in hand. As the real estate market decelerates, despite higher-than-we’re-used-to interest rates, real estate investment firms have a shot at capitalizing on investment opportunities in the market, and real estate investment brokerages and syndication companies will have the opportunity to cater to savvy investors.

ESG consulting firms

Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) is a hot topic in finance these days, and though a standards board was created a little more than a year ago, there’s a lot of important, and difficult, ESG-related stuff that CFOs are increasingly focused on sorting out.
