Project Leader

A Project Leader is one part business consultant, one part project manager, and one part Salesforce and HubSpot technical guru. Project Leaders manage a portfolio of clients and projects. They are ultimately responsible for the success of our projects. They make sure our clients are happy and we exceed expectations. Project Leaders make sure the engagements are implemented the right way according to best practices and that all milestones are delivered on time. Project Leaders not only understand the technology and how to design and implement systems that scale, but they are also seasoned entrepreneurs/business leaders who have built viable businesses. They love transferring their knowledge and experiences to our clients to ensure we implement practical processes and solutions. They love building businesses that grow and scale the right way.

At FSM, AI is woven into how we deliver. Project Leaders use AI every day to scope and manage projects, pressure-test solution designs, draft client communications and status reports, and keep a portfolio of engagements on track — so we can move faster and deliver more for our clients. As the people ultimately accountable for project success, Project Leaders set the standard for how their teams put AI to work. AI doesn’t replace the seasoned business judgment and consulting expertise this role is built on; it amplifies it, freeing Project Leaders to focus on strategy, client relationships, and the hard calls that move projects forward.

Example capabilities include, but are not limited to:

Building complex software systems – ideally on the Salesforce and/or HubSpot platforms.
Managing technical projects, using AI tools to plan, track, and keep projects on time and on budget.
Managing client expectations.
Delivering practical solutions on time and on budget.
Managing a P&L.
Managing project teams including software developers.
Advising clients as a trusted business consultant — diagnosing the underlying business problem and guiding wise decisions before systems are built, not just executing requests.
Architecting and designing software solutions – ideally on the Salesforce and/or HubSpot platforms, leveraging AI tools (primarily Claude) to accelerate and pressure-test solution design.
Communicating project status to clients and knowing how to say things the right way, using AI to draft and assemble clear, client-ready reporting.
Identifying risks and issues so we prevent “fires” before they occur.
Experience starting and/or building businesses.
Working with agile and other methodologies.
Writing status reports and other key project documents.
Applying AI across scoping, delivery, and project-management workflows — discovery, requirements, meeting summaries, action-item tracking, status reporting, and client documentation.
Helping identify and implement process improvements so we improve our current processes and not repeat the same mistakes.

Nice to have skillsets:

Knowledge of Salesforce, HubSpot, and/or other technology platforms.
Experience customizing other software systems – especially CRM software (SugarCRM, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Infusionsoft, etc.).
Hands-on experience using AI tools (such as Claude) in a professional or delivery setting.
Bachelor’s degree level of education or similar experience.
